A beautiful version of
"I Wish I Was 18 Again"
George Burns live from Nashville
The Burns and Allen television show was one that really broke the molds during the golden age of classic TV during the early part of the 1950's. Gracie was sheer poetry to watch and she was one of the pioneers of situation comedy and no commedianne at the time was better in providing the laughs. She was the best around!
Gracie Allen fought a long battle with heart disease, finally dying from a heart attack in Hollywood in 1964. She was interred in a crypt at the Freedom Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California; George Burns was interred at her side when he died thirty-two years later. ("Gracie Allen and George Burns — Together Again," reads the engraving on the marker.)
